Ironic, coming from me, who creates events for K-Pop idols for fans who love them; however, it does not mean there are no stragglers among those who romanticize it. Asian culture as a whole has been romanticized and gentrified to the point where when people think of Asian people, they think of pale, pretty Asian women with clear skin, or they think of K-pop idol men. Either this or they think of the generic stereotypical nerdy geeks who are smart and good at everything. Which is inherently not a bad thing, but it was something we got made fun of for a long time.
